Once the geology, geometry and geotechnical factors have been assessed, the feasibility proceeds to the most cost-effective scenario for developing the mine. This process must take into consideration the size of the operation, which will depend, in turn, on such factors as owner requirements, resource size and shape, mining methods, backfill requirements and shaft or other access limitations.
The life of the mine will be designed after due consideration of all relevant aspects to develop an operation without constraints and having long term profitability as a principal objective.
The AMC Mining Services team, with a strong operations background in the Central African Copperbelt, having worked in industry prior to consulting provide skills to manage due diligence and project review and feasibility studies, from early project evaluation to process selection and engineering, this latter stage frequently conducted in conjunction with engineering & processing companies in the region.
Other services include:
- Metallurgical scoping studies
- Economic flow sheet development
- Pilot plant testing programs
- Engineering, operations and optimisation of mineral processing
- Technical advice & project reviews with particular expertise in flotation, solvent extraction, smelting and roasting
