In accordance with legislation established in the country in which the client is operating, and as part of an Environmental Impact Assessment, AMC Environmental Services formulates environmental management plans to ensure legislative compliance. These management plans give an indication of the environmental and social impacts the project may have and the development of mitigation measures for the adverse effects that may emanate from the clients operations. The plans are completed within World Bank Guidelines (WBG) and Equator Principles (EP) necessary if the developer wants to operate the project to world class standards. In particular, the Equator Principles will make it easier for the developer to seek funds from international financial institutions. The management plans will include commentary on:
The environmental effects on: Landscape, Vegetation, Soil, Air, Noise & Vibration, Surface water, Ground Water, Land Use, Heritage Sites, Health & Safety and Waste Management
The social & economic effects on: Health, Education, Development, Jobs, Water Supply, Power supply, Infrastructure and roads and resettlement actions plans.
Development of management protocols & checklists
Management and staff awareness training programs
Policy development and review
Process safety management and risk management programs
Pollution prevention and environmental emergency response plans
Data and information management system development
AMC Environmental Services can assist the clients and stakeholders with monitoring programs, audits and reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of existing management systems, and identify weaknesses and risk areas in terms of potential environmental failures and non compliance.
