Thomas Rogers is a graduate from St. Andrews University, Scotland. Based in Southern Africa Thomas has 14 years experience in mineral exploration (gold & base metals) and due diligence and feasibility studies in Africa, and has worked on, and assessed, numerous exploration projects in over 10 African countries including most recently Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). From early 2004 he has consulted in the Central African Copperbelt and has been responsible for the exploration project management of the Ivanhoe Nickel & Platinum Copper Project which, in collaboration with Ivanhoe employees and consultants, has lead to the world-class Kamoa copper discovery and the Nzilo copper discovery 40km along strike to the north of Kamoa.
Steffen Kalbskopf, Bsc
Senior Consulting Geologist – FGS, AMIMM
Steffen has extensive international experience in the minerals and mining industry. After graduating from the University of London in 1974, Steffen has worked in both over 13 African countries, and internationally in South America. Steffen has extensive knowledge of the Central African Copperbelt, the Witwatersrand and Bushveld complexes in South Africa and Achaean Greenstone terrains across Africa. In the last three years Steffen has been involved in the mining sector in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. This has involved geological appraisals, mapping, ore body modelling, and training of local geologists, due diligence work and resource estimation. Most recently Steffen has been involved in geological logging and modelling for the Ivanhoe Nickel & Platinum Kamoa Copper Project and the Mwekera copper deposit both located in the Central African Copperbelt.
Sitshengiso Hlabangana (Banger), Bsc
Senior Consulting Geologist - MAusIMM
Banger has over 19 years experience in exploration and production geology following graduation from the University of Zimbabwe in Harare. Practical experience in underground and open pit gold mining, including budget formulation, has been gained from managing the geological and technical services department at Freda Rebecca Mine. His exploration experience in Achaean Greenstone Belts and the Central African Copperbelt ranges from geological mapping & target generation, geological modelling and resource estimation; data management and QA/QC, implementation and management of grade control.
Aminiel Mambali, Bsc (Hons) Rhodes
Senior Consulting Geologist
Aminiel graduated from the University of Tanzania and gained additional qualifications through company sponsorship from Rhodes University in South Africa in 1998. Aminiel has worked for a number of large mining groups including De Beers, Anglo American and Barrick Gold in Tanzania. Aminiel possess 17 years experience in exploration across Tanzania, and the DRC and has extensive experience in gold, diamond and base metal exploration in Archaen geological terrains and the Central African Copperbelt. Aminiel specialises in geological mapping, drill program management and training of local staff in exploration techniques and best practices.
Doudou Ndekanya, Bsc
GIS Consultant (Specialisation in Pedology)
Doudou has eight years experience in GIS and IT both in the exploration and pedology following graduation from the University of Lubumbashi in 2001. Doudou specialises in GIS project implementation and management, GIS techniques and operations: GPS, digitalisation, remote sensing, spatial data QAQC, geo-database and spatial analysis. Doudou has been involved in the publication of two scientific and technical papers on GIS and soil maps in Agronomical Sciences Journal, University of Lubumbashi in addition to creating a soil and terrain database of Central Africa: DR Congo, Burundi and Rwanda (SOTERCAF, ver.1.0), ISRIC World Soil Information and FAO, Belgium in September 2006.

Alsen Bagayana, Bsc (in progress)
Dbase Consultant
Alsen has over 12 years experience in database management and sample preparation on projects in Tanzania and the Central African Copperbelt. Before joining AMC in May 2007, Alsen worked for AngloGold Ashanti Ltd and Anglo American Exploration in Tanzania. Alsen’s main responsibilities include the development and maintenance of databases suited to the clients needs, QA/QC protocols and implementation including preparation laboratory performance, QA/QC reporting, sample preparation management, I.T. management and support archiving.

David Edwards, Bsc (Camborne School of Mines)
Junior Consulting Geologist
A graduate from the Camborne School of Mines, UK, David has experience in Archaen greenstone gold deposit geology in the Central African Republic and more recently over two years working on base metals in the Central African Copperbelt. David has most recently been managing the exploration drilling program for the Ivanhoe Nickel & Platinum (Pty) Ltd Kamoa Copper Project. This project will be moving into a pre-feasibility phase drilling program in the near future.
Tim Brooks, Bsc, MSc (Camborne School of Mines)
Junior Consulting Geologist
A graduate in Applied Geology from the Camborne School of Mines, UK, Tim has most recently joined AMC and is involved in exploration program supervision. Previous to this Tim was working in Armenia and has supervised a RC resource drill-out program for an operating poly-metallic mine and the training of samplers and local geologists in line with company QA/QC standards in addition to coordinating remote fieldwork and training of national staff for stream sediment and soil sampling in challenging mountain terrains.
