Geoffrey specialises in environmental impact assessments (EIA), risk assessment, development of waste minimisation programmes and contaminated land management. Following graduation, with distinction, in environmental engineering from the University of Nottingham, UK, Geoffrey joined Konkola Copper Mines Plc as an environmental coordinator. Geoffrey joined AMC at the beginning of 2006 and has been involved in a variety of environmental baseline studies and environmental audits in the Central African Copperbelt in addition to EIA studies for numerous clients.
Joshua Kambafwile, BSc, PG Dip
Environmental Consulting Engineer - EIZ, APINA
Joshua specialises in environmental impact assessments, environmental management plans and audits, pollution control and implementation of cleaner production methodologies. He has five years experience in environmental management and review of environmental legislation gained from the Environmental Council (Agency) of Zambia. Joshua joined AMC in 2006 and has been involoved in numerous stakeholder management plans and audits throughout Zambia and the DRC. JOshua is also an expert in air quality monitoring.
Gomo Tembo, BEng
Junior Environmental Consulting Engineer – EIZ
A recent graduate in Environmental Engineering from the Copperbelt University, Zambia, Gomo has been involved in numerous projects across Zambia, most recently an environmental impact assessment and management planning for the Kariba Uranium Project in southern Zambia. In addition to environmental monitoring skills and data evaluation, Gomo possesses GIS knowledge which is fundamental to the environmental engineering management sector.
Lishomwa Mulongwe, MSc
Vegetation and Bio-diversity – External Consultant
As Principal Research Officer for the Division of Forest Research in Zambia, Lishomwa has carried out research on bio-indicators, environmental degradation and on the rehabilitation of degraded ecosystems in the Zambian Copperbelt. He has carried out ecological surveys and bio-diversity studies for environmental impact assessments of mining projects in the DRC and Zambia and has extensive knowledge about central and southern African plant species. Lishomwa specialises in ecosystem productivity, management and modelling and has vast experience in indigenous species.
Felix Chileshe
BTEC Diploma – Soil Science – External Consultant
Felix is a soil chemistry specialist with over fifteen years experience in Zambia and abroad. He has participated in research in the areas of soil nutrient status in Zambia and has completed consultancy work for the Southern African Development Cooperation (SADC).
Kenneth Mazingaliwa, MSc
Aquatic Flora and Fauna – External Consultant
Kenneth has over 30 years experience in aquaculture through working for the Department of Fisheries in Zambia as well as a number of years experience as an agronomist. He has participated in research relating to aquaculture, impacts of climate change on fishery status, field studies and identifications. He assisted in compiling a book entitled “Field Guide for Zambian Fishes, Plankton and Aquaculture”, 2002.
Dr. Mitulo Silengo, BSc, MA, PhD
Socio-Economic and Public Consultation – External Consultant
Dr. Silengo specialises in social impact assessment and resettlement planning. He has conducted socio-economic studies and assessments of mining projects in the DRC and Zambia. His expertise in natural resource management together with his public consultation experience enables him to accurately evaluate the socio-economic and cultural impacts of a mining project. Mitulo has extensive knowledge of socio-economic, development and environmental dilemmas confronting the world today with extensive experience in stakeholder participation and public consultation, excellent facilitation skills and knowledge of participatory approaches in development projects and environmental stakeholder engagement, wide experience in Resettlement Action Planning in accordance with World Bank Operational Directives in Zambia and the DRC and is conversant with mainstreaming gender and HIV/Aids issues in development projects.
